The lightweight Browning X-Bolt Mountain Pro Tungsten is built for the rigors of hunting from the carbon fiber stock to the Recoil Hawg muzzle brake. Capable of exceptional accuracy the X-Bolt Mountain Pro features a Carbon Fiber stock with an accent graphic finish, a 24″ spiral fluted sporter contour barrel, and a Recoil Hawg muzzle brake which helps reduce perceived recoil with the 6.5 PRC. To reduce ambient noise the carbon fiber stock is filled with noise-dampening foam. To further reduce perceived recoil and improve shooter comfort and accuracy, the X-Bolt Mountain Pro Tungsten has an Inflex 1 recoil pad. When a Browning with the Inflex recoil pad is fired, the pad collapses, but instead of simply moving to the rear, directional ribs pull the comb down and away from your face for even greater shooting comfort and faster follow-ups. The steel receiver is drilled and tapped for the Browning X-Lock scope mounting system which uses 4 screws instead of 2 screws for consistency.
A Bolt Unlock Button is integrated into the bolt which allows you check the condition of the rifle while the tang-mounted safety is still engaged. The short 60-degree bolt throw is fast cycling and allows for quick loading without interference from the scope. The Browning Feather Trigger is the heart of accuracy with the X-Bolt Mountain Pro Tungsten rifle. Clean, crisp, no take-up and minimal overtravel gives the Feather Trigger a superior feel. With an adjustable trigger pull weight from 3 to 5 lbs. you can find the pull weight that best meets your needs. The trigger is pre-set at approximately 3.5 lbs. at the factory. A 3-round detachable rotary magazine feeds your cartridges directly into the chamber without the left/right offset found in traditional magazines. The magazine sets flush with the stock for a sleek look. The X-Bolt Mountain Pro Tungsten is Browning”s entry into the semi-custom hunting rifle arena.
